We met in medical school, eventually got married, and both became emergency physicians. For over a decade, we have worked in emergency departments, caring for people in crisis.
We kept seeing the same pattern: people suffering the consequences of chronic, lifestyle-related disease. Heart attacks. Strokes. Diabetic complications. So much suffering- and even death- that could have been prevented.
We realized we wanted to work upstream. We wanted to help people before they ended up in the Emergency Department.
Both of us have been naturally interested in health and wellness, fitness and nutrition our whole lives. We've always believed in the power of lifestyle to transform health. Now, as lifestyle medicine physicians, we get to live that belief every day.
We're a family- raising our kids together, doing life together, and building this practice together. Whole Well Being is the culmination of everything we've learned, both professionally and personally, about what it takes to truly thrive.
We believe change happens from the inside out. You already know you "should" eat better, move more, and manage stress. The problem isn't information- it's implementation.
Our approach is different. We don't just tell you what to do. We help you uncover your "why," identify what's been holding you back, and build sustainable habits that align with your values and strengths.
We start by understanding you as a whole person:
Where are you now, and where do you want to be?
What's your deeper motivation? (Energy to travel? Keeping up with your kids? Enjoying retirement? Feeling at home in your body again?)
What are your core values and natural strengths?
Together, we create a wellness vision and set meaningful goals. Then, week by week, we work on what matters most to you- troubleshooting barriers, building new skills, and providing medical guidance specific to your conditions.
This is strengths-based coaching with medical expertise. We provide evidence-based guidance across the six pillars of lifestyle medicine (nutrition, movement, sleep, stress management, social connection, avoiding risky substances) plus mind-body practices. But more importantly, we help you figure out how to actually implement these changes in your real life.
Our goal is to help you reverse disease and extend your lifespan- but also to feel good about yourself, empowered, and at peace in your body. Because what's the point of living longer if you're not actually living well?
We're not wellness influencers living picture-perfect lives. We're busy professionals, parents, and humans trying to balance work, family, purpose, and self-care- just like you.
What we prioritize in our own lives:
Whole food, plant-based nutrition with a focus on diversity of plants (we're always trying new vegetables and recipes)
Daily movement - whether that's a workout at home or the gym, a family hike, or walking the family dog (Frank the chihuahua/supermutt)
Time outside - nature is non-negotiable for both of us
Connection - with our families, with each other, and with friends we cherish
Regular meditation and breathwork - practices we both use to stay grounded
Living our purpose - this work is deeply aligned with our values
Travel and exploration - we love discovering new places and perspectives
What we struggle with, just like you:
Sleep - we do our best, but between kids, work, and life, it's not always perfect
Balance - some weeks we nail it, some weeks we're just surviving
Consistency - life happens, plans change, and we have to adapt
We share this because we want you to know: we get it. We're not preaching from a place of perfection. We're walking this path with you, figuring out how to make healthy living work in real life - with all its messiness, competing demands, and unexpected challenges.
That's the beauty of lifestyle medicine. It's not about being perfect. It's about making choices that align with your values, building habits that support your goals, and being compassionate with yourself when things don't go as planned.
We believe you can do this. And we're here to help you figure out how.

Board-Certified Emergency Medicine & Lifestyle Medicine Physician
As a human on this planet I play many roles. Above all, I love and value being a mom to my two boys whom I homeschool. I have a strong nurturing spirit that spans across my roles as mom as well as doctor. I feel my purpose in this life is to facilitate healing, growth, and empowerment in myself and others.
Professionally, I have spent 13 years as an Emergency Medicine Physician. This experience has been invaluable in my growth professionally and personally. It was a unique and enlightening position to witness some of the most tragic parts of the human experience on a regular basis, as well as to have the opportunity to relieve pain to the suffering and provide moments of comfort to otherwise scary and difficult experiences. Of course, it also came with many instances of having to confirm the worst fears of those for whom I was caring. It was in those moments that I was faced with my own mortality as well, knowing that this life is short, and we need to make the most of the time we have here. This realization ultimately led to the formation of Whole Well Being Lifestyle Medicine, in which I feel I can most effectively fulfill my life purpose. Another recurrent theme of my time as an emergency doctor was caring every shift for the complications and consequences of chronic disease. I saw how disempowered people felt, in and out of the hospital, and that they had lives they were trying to get back to when I told them they needed to be admitted instead. They had family, careers and their own dreams to get back to, but their bodies were holding them back. I knew that the majority of these complications could have been prevented if our healthcare system focused on empowering people to take the driver seat in their health and well-being; if time was spent getting to know people and how to help them incorporate these mindset shifts and behavior changes into their lives.
I consider myself strong-willed and principled. I am saddened by the state of our healthcare system, ruled by large hospital corporations and insurance companies who value profit over people. After years of thinking "if I were in charge, I would do things differently" I decided to be in charge! In starting this lifestyle medicine practice I am combining my core strength of love with my values of autonomy, freedom and integrity as well as my purpose of facilitating health and healing.

Now is the time to believe you are worthy, to let go of your ego, and to live the life that is waiting for you.
I grew up in a rural area of central Pennsylvania, before venturing out to travel the world in my late teens and eventually landing in college. At university, I studied both science and the inner workings of people with majors in microbiology and anthropology (scientific study of humanity, concerned with human behavior, human biology, cultures, etc.). These studies converged when I decided to take up medicine as a career.
Growing up I always thought of a doctor as the guy with the black bag who goes on house calls and helps heal or comfort any patient with any problem. Emergency medicine modernized that idea for me, bringing the patients to the emergency department rather than me to their home. I became really skilled in helping sick people and comforting the sick and dying and their families. What I started to recognize was that many of the people that I was caring for didn’t need to be sick and dying. They could have and should have had more years of quality, happy life.
Many of their illnesses were among the most common preventable processes afflicting Americans - diabetes, hypertension, chronic stress, unresolved trauma, cancer, obesity, anxiety, depression, smoking, and more. The US healthcare system is pretty good at taking care of the costly complications of disease, but doesn't provide well the personalized time-intensive care needed to effectively educate patients and prevent disease in the first place.
The more I learned and experienced during my medical practice, the more I thought that if my patients had the chance to understand themselves better, and to change their lifestyle, they could find a new sense of self-confidence, self-worth, and physical, mental and emotional well-being. We have identified a way to do just that - by using a whole well being approach, helping to coach and empower patients to make lasting behavioral and lifestyle changes.
I am excited to support my patients in making real, lasting, meaningful change - so we can all live well, live long, and live better.
Our Whole Well Being Lifestyle Medicine practice is personal, intensive, deeply connected, honest, holistic, and an experience with a doctor unlike anything you've had before. We are looking for 6 months to help you transform your life. Our hope is you won't need us after that. Come join us!
