Lifestyle medicine physicians providing coaching-based care to help you understand your condition, take control of your health, and improve what’s within your reach.
When you get that wake-up call about your health - a diagnosis, concerning test results, or the moment you realize things need to change - you need answers, not more confusion.
You need someone who can help you understand what's actually happening in your body, cut through the noise of conflicting advice, and create a clear plan forward. That's exactly what we do.
As board-certified Lifestyle Medicine physicians, we bring medical expertise and coaching principles together. We help you understand your condition, identify the lifestyle changes that will have the biggest impact, and guide you through making them stick.
We work with you to prevent, improve, and in many cases reverse lifestyle-related chronic conditions while promoting longevity and health span.
We address your Whole Well-Being: your body (what you eat, how you move and sleep), your mind (how you think and feel), and your spirit - your connection to something larger than yourself, such as your intuition, higher self, sense of purpose, and values.
You don't have to stay overwhelmed. Let's create your path forward.
Enrolling Pennsylvania residents only- for now!
Here's what makes us unique:
We are physicians certified in lifestyle medicine, with years of clinical experience and deep medical knowledge about chronic disease.
We facilitate change through a coaching model- providing extended sessions, personalized lifestyle plans, ongoing support and accountability.
It's personal and intensive. This will be unlike any doctor-patient relationship you've had before. We get to know you and go deep. We have few patients at a time in the practice so we can really focus on you.
It's consistent. One hour visits weekly, then biweekly. Change takes time, practice and consistency!
We are available. Not only do we see you regularly but you can text or email us too!
We don't prescribe medications. Instead we help you address root causes so you need fewer medications and spend less on healthcare in the long run.
You still work with your requisite primary care provider who manages your medications and provides acute care and preventive screening. We'll recommend and review helpful bloodwork.
Traditional medical appointments are constrained by time and insurance requirements. Doctors often want to spend more time on lifestyle guidance but simply can't in 15-minute visits.
Our coaching model allows us to:
Spend real time understanding your barriers and goals
Provide disease-specific lifestyle guidance grounded in medical expertise
Offer ongoing support between appointments
Address the emotional and mental patterns that impact health
Focus purely on empowering sustainable change
We work alongside your healthcare team, not as a replacement. Think of us as the missing piece- the medical expertise and dedicated time needed to make lifestyle changes that are effective and actually stick.
You've had a wake-up call about your health - a diagnosis, scary test results, a health scare, or just the realization that something needs to change.
You're dealing with a lifestyle-related condition like:
Type 2 diabetes or prediabetes
High blood pressure
High cholesterol or triglycerides
Metabolic syndrome
Overweight or obesity
Fatty liver disease
And you're ready to:
Understand what's happening in your body and why
Get clear guidance on what changes will actually make a difference
Explore not just WHAT to change, but WHY change has been hard
Address the emotional patterns that affect your health (stress eating, chronic pain, sleep issues)
Make real, lasting changes - not look for quick fixes
Invest in yourself (we don't accept insurance, but you may save money by reducing medications and healthcare costs long-term)
You also:
Have a primary care physician who manages your medications and routine care
Want to approach your health as self-care, not punishment
Not sure if we can help your specific situation? Let's talk. Many chronic conditions have lifestyle components that can be dramatically improved.
Research shows that lifestyle interventions can be as effective as medications for many chronic conditions- and in some cases, even more effective.
Studies have shown that patients can:
Reverse type 2 diabetes and reduce or eliminate insulin
Normalize blood pressure and reduce or discontinue antihypertensives
Lower cholesterol naturally, often avoiding or reducing the need for statins
Achieve sustainable weight loss (not through restrictive dieting)
Eliminate chronic pain and improve energy
Reduce anxiety and achieve restorative sleep
Beyond the lab values, lifestyle medicine offers something more profound: feeling more at peace in your body, more confident in yourself, and more empowered to face life's challenges.
As physicians certified in lifestyle medicine, we believe in the power of living well in order to optimize health and enjoyment of life. We have seen lifestyle changes result in the reversal of diseases conventionally thought to be irreversible and inevitable with age- such as diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, overweight and obesity.
We believe that every person has the capacity to heal holistically through intentional choices- in how we think and speak to ourselves, how we move and rest our bodies and minds, how we nourish ourselves, and in the relationships we cultivate.
Guidance on whole food, plant-based nutrition tailored to your preferences and lifestyle

Compassionate, individualized guidance
We address not just what you eat or how you move, but how you think about yourself, manage stress, and relate to your body. Because sustainable change requires healing on multiple levels- physical, mental, and emotional.
Our ultimate goal? To empower you so thoroughly that eventually you don't need us anymore. We want you to have the knoledge, skills, and confidence to maintain your health independently.
Lifestyle medicine isn't just about what you eat and how you move- it's about your relationship with yourself.
We've seen how:
Chronic pain often has roots in stress, trauma, and nervous system dysregulation
Emotional eating patterns reflect deeper needs that food can't actually meet
Negative self-talk sabotages even the best-intentioned health plans
Sleep issues often stem from an inability to feel safe and at rest
That's why our programs include exploration of the thoughts, beliefs, and emotional patterns that shape your health choices. We provide tools for nervous system reglation and creat space for you to approach health canges as self-compassion, not self-punishment.
This isn't "woo-woo"- it's neuroscience. Your brain and body are intimately connected, and healing requires addressing both.
You don't have to fully believe in the mind-body connection to work with us. But we've found that patients who are open to exploring this dimension often experience the most profound transformations- not just in their lab values, but in how they feel in their bodies and their lives.
Medication saves lives. Your primary care physician plays a critical role in your health.
We're not anti-medicine. We're pro-lifestyle-FIRST.
For many conditions, lifestyle interventions can be as effective as medications, and sometimes more so. But you need:
Time to understand the "why" behind recommendations
Personalized plans that fit your life
Ongoing support and accountability
Someone to troubleshoot barriers when things get hard
That's what 15-minute medical appointments can't provide. The system isn't designed for it.
We fill that gap, working as partners with your PCP. They handle medications and medical monitoring. We handle the intensive coaching and lifestyle guidance. Together, this is powerful medicine.
Research shows that lifestyle medicine can help patients reduce or eliminate medications over time- under their PCP's supervision. Some still need medications but at lower doses. Some achieve complete disease reversal.
The goal isn't to avoid medicine- it's to address the underlying causes so you need less intervention overall.
Most people know WHAT to do- eat better, exercise more, manage stress.
The problem isn't information. It's implementation.
That's why we go deeper:
What beliefs are blocking you? ("I don't deserve to feel good," "Taking time for myself is selfish")
What emotions are you managing with food? ("Stress, loneliness, boredom)
What's your nervous system telling you? (Chronic pain often reflects a dysregulated stress response)
How do you talk to yourself? (Harsh self-criticism undermines sustainable change)
We combine medical expertise with coaching tools and mind-body practices to address these deeper patterns- because lasting change requires healing on multiple levels.
This is why our patients don't just see better lab values. They report feeling more energized, more at peace, more confident, and more empowered.
We hear this question often, and we understand why- both look beyond symptom management to address root causes.
The key differentiation is our focus:
Lifestyle medicine centers on the six evidence-based pillars proven to prevent and reverse chronic disease: whole food nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, social connection and avoiding risky substances.
We may recommend labs to track your progress, but these are typically standard tests your doctor would order anyway - things like A1C or lipid panels. You can get them through your PCP or a direct-to-consumer lab service. We'll help you interpret the results and adjust your plan accordingly. Our recommendations focus on lifestyle changes - not extensive lab panels, specialized testing, or complex supplement protocols.
If you're looking for:
Guidance on nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress management
Evidence-based interventions to reverse chronic disease
Physician expertise without extensive lab panels or supplement protocols
Sustainable changes that don't require ongoing product purchases
Then lifestyle medicine is likely the right fit.
We respect that different approaches work for different people. Our strength is in providing intensive coaching around proven lifestyle interventions- the changes that research shows have the most powerful impact on chronic disease.
